I'm guilty of this as well. One of the few things I have learnt during this covid-19 pandemic lockdown is that eating outside is excessively expensive and not healthy. Personally for up to 2 months now I have never eaten outside once and my body system feels better. It is way cheaper eating at home and makes you save a huge amount of money.

One meal outside cost 1500 naira and that is a live chicken price which can feed a family for 4 days straight. Going out to eat once a while isn't bad but becoming a norm is financially dangerous....

The world economy is just MMM. You deposit and later cash out. grin grin grin grin grin grin. The .money just goes round the orbit circle and the billionaires the big companies and great investors are like those that deposit millions into MMM, they are the biggest cashing out groups. grin grin grin grin

That's the spirit.

Take N3k cook better soup. N1k buy custard bucket of Garri, you will sing praises later.

Maybe there statistics is based of Almajiri feeding out. Because, nobody has asked me how much I spend on eating our in the streets of Lagos before. How how did they gather the data?

That's why it's hard to believe the statistics that say half of Nigeria's population live below poverty level. A lot of people they say are living below $1 a day earn far more than that. For instance, a street beggar will invariably be classified as living below $1, but most of them rake in much more than that - in fact a lot of them aren't truly poor but find begging a convenient way to live without working.
I'm sure you always walk pass beggars without dropping one naira and yet you think they are living above one us dollars...smh

Very true.
If you know the amount of money hotels are making you will be shocked.
Me and my crew of 7 people have been in isolation somewhere in Lagos before we can move Offshores for work.
The brought our bill xterday.
11million naira.

You are supposed to give charity to the needy. A needy person may not necessarily go about begging. Your senior colleague in the office who needs immediate financial assistance is a needy person and deserves your support more than a stranger begging in the street. Not every beggar is a needy person, though of course there are those forced into begging by poverty. If you know the life some of those beggars live, you won't give a dime to then again.

I am a student, even when I start working I won't eat outside. If hunger beat me well well na to buy soft drink and any nice snack sustain myself till I reach house. If for instance I find myself in a situation where I don't have time to cook and I must eat outside I won't enjoy that meal.

What's the need eating outside when I can prepare all my favorite food? My girls don't bother me to take them out because they always enjoy eating my food. Even when I take them out I don't eat anything apart from ice cream.
I prefer home-cooked food too. Bros, one thing you must have at the back of your mind is, when it's time make sure your other half is a fantastic cook and a homely lady. That's the kind of wife that will complement you.

Sure, I can't marry a lady that doesn't know how to cook no matter how beautiful she is. If she like make she fine pass Priyanka Chopra I got no business with her. There is a saying that goes thus...."Good food and good wife makes a man feel at home"

Fake, fake and fake!

If National Bureau of Statistics wants sane Nigerians to take them seriously, they must get the government to develop a national database

Keep encouraging a cashless economy, give people discounts for paying electronically and tax people higher for paying cash.

A good example is God is Good Motors that gives up to 1k discount (or more) when people pay online. That's a good way to start, NBS

Until then, every figure from NBS is fake, fake and fake
This is true, you cannot properly account for cash due to a lot of factors imo.

Seriously. How did they come about this statistic.
Lol...I have scanned responses looking for this question. You are the only one that asked it. Others just jumped straight to comment without a thought.

Yes, how did the figures come about given that data collection on all aspects of the report is very poor in our nation.

Or do taxi/bus drivers, and mama put and pepper soup joints scattered all over the country report their transactions? This is a cooked up report. Don't even give it a thought.
