I am aware Lagos zone where my cousin works is operating. But you will agree with me that there is no way PH office will open with the way Wike is being aggressive about the lockdown.

Despite being tagged essential workers, there is a general lack of motivation by junior to mid level staff in resuming duty. This is because of the poor remuneration, poor work environment and poor safety standards within the organisation compared to private logistics/courier companies like DHL, FEDEX and UPS.

The post offices are open in most states but are operating skeletal duties mainly because the staff do not see themselves as essential workers vis-a-vis their condition of service.
