Historical buildings should be well preserved. The Amalgamation remains the most significant policy to Nigeria till date, and yet even the building most related to that event has been abandoned. |

Why are you people cursing someone that died a long time ago. Yes, he did what he did, but we have gained Independence since 1960...60 freaking years ago. If Nigeria was a human being, she would be in her old age now. How can we still be blaiming someone that died years ago over our condition? |

gidgiddy: The country was built on tribal lines... Even now it has not changed. None of them fought for "Nigeria" they fought for NORTHERNER or SOUTHERNER. Even the name NIGERIA wasn't from a Nigerian but the colonial master |

Who would think of joining Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria and Iraq together to form one country? Anyone doing that knows he is creating a failed country. Well, Nigeria is a failed country. |

kikero: This is the koko of our problems, and not whether we divide Nigeria into 2 or 36 countries. As long as we continue with the economic model bequeathed to us by the British, which makes exporters of primary goods and importers of finished goods, we will always be in economic and political doldrums. 1 Like |

thatthing111:Some people need a scape goat to blame all their failings and faults on. These people never takes responsibility for their failings, but look for every other person or situation to blame, even a man that died more than 80 years ago, before their grandfather was born. It's like the Christian devil, a convenient excuse for our failures. 1 Like |

gidgiddy: The union is not the problem. Blackman is the problem. How many ”black” countries are doing well today? Yeah, it's easy to blame every other person but yourself. You are the problem with Nigeria. An average black man is mentally lazy, hence why they hold unto God and hope he'll come to their aide one day. Lazy black skin mf! |

codemaniacs: You're wrong. Before the so-called ”European indoctrination”, black people were already lazy God worshippers. The ”Europeans” as you call them, only replaced your archaic religion with a more sophisticated one. I mean, who holds onto ”Fan yogo” if Coldstone is been offered for free? An average black man has always been mentally incapacitated that's the ONLY reason why another race can travel thousands of miles to your land, fight you, defeat you, enslaved you, and even had the time to brainwash you. You are still mentally lazy if you really think religion and indirect rule is why you're backward. |

Tribalistic goats should not come and spoil this beautiful thread if you are igbo and you trying to complain remember it was one of you sons (as you call it) that stood for the continuation of the amalgamation then in 1960 the north no even put mouth there was no evidence of them having any intellectual dedication to stopping or assisting the amalgamation We have Nigeria now and if we put all our differences behind us and work together like the one people we are we can become more than the giant of Africa let make our weakness our strength #one Nigeria |
