there are linux users on this forum like me and other users as well but i don't know if there are mac users. Since both mac and linux have a lot in common we could share ideas. (Beyond that fancy GUI is hardcore BSD). Hope we could rub minds

Hi,

You can really get macs systems around especially in Computer Village, besides that, you should know that you cannot easily install mac os x in windows systems without damn technical manovaurs.

Am using iBookG4, 512mb, 40GB, Mac os X Tiger. Also having PowerPC Desktop with Mac os X tiger installed. If u guys are interested in mac os x stuff, I will provide free stuff and help on using it.

I bet u ! Mac is more powerful than Windows ! Why simply because, you cannot be disturb with virus wahala, and difficult for hackers to penetrate, you can also use it to bypass so many things on the web.

There's a hacked version of mac OsX tiger out that can run on x86 pcs. However, you'll need a goodly specced system (no trying to install on Pentium 3s) and it's not without its fair share of bugs and glitches.

i've checked high and wide for a direct link download to the file, but it seems to be only on Bittorrent networks.

simply search torrent sites for mac osx86.

check http://forum.osxx86.info/index.php for more info

Hi,

For those of u using mac , the famous software CROSS OVER FOR MAC is available [Free Trial], you can use it to run so many Windows Appz on your mac.

Google it to find more about it.

CrossOver is great for people who don't want to reboot a Mac before running a PC program, but my understanding is that it doesn't support all Windows programs. There's another app called Parallels that basically works the same way. BootCamp from Apple, on the other hand, lets you actually choose between running OS X or Windows on a Mac. It's a free download at Apple.com. The only catch is you need to get your own copy of Windows.

Been using 17" MacBook Pro from 24 March. I discovered some of my Excel (Office 2007) files were too wide for MacOffice 2004 Excel version, I have had to install Parallels 3.0 to run Vista Ultimate. Everything is just going great and I am one happy Mac Os X user. When MacOffice 2008 ships later this year, I shall move away completely from Windows.

@Esquire you don't have to download mac just to get the feel as you already use gnome just go to gnome-look.org and love-vendor your linux to mac style. I just pimped mine to vista syle

Hello

I have been using Mac G4 super-computers for 3 years. Should any Mac user have any form of technical problem, let the person contact me.

Cheers.

Well hayprof you fail to understand moi. Previously i said Linux and mac have a lot in common, they are both unixes so behind those fancy gui they both operate the same way and that's why binaries natively written for mac can work on Linux. Since they operate the same way. So i simply gave esquire an alternative.
