Help! My Sister Is Seeing Her Period The Second Time This Month

Please Doctors in the house, my younger sister is seeing her period for the second time just this May.

She confided in me so I promised to ask questions.

She's 21 years of age.

She saw her period on the 4th of this May and today being 20th, she's seeing it again.

Although before she saw her first period, she was recovering from Malaria and that means she was on drugs.

Please this is a serious issue and it's giving me concern.

She has been staying with me in my house since the lockdown started and I can verge for her.

Please your kind advice is needed.

Clam down, it's not a serious issue that should scare you. Polymenorrhea is a common phenomenon where there is frequent menstruation. Although it could lead to low PCV in the long run. So it's advisable to normalize it.

A lot of things can affect a woman's menstrual cycle, emotions, stress, starvation, exercise etc.
The normal range for menstrual cycle is between 21 -- 35 days. I.e, say, someone sees her period on the first, the next is on the 21st that's twice a month(21days length)

The thing now is to observe the timing of her coming menstruation, as well as any other factor that can alter it.

It's definitely an infection. Conduct a test on her and commence treatment immediately.

My girlfriend who is a virgin (hymen very intact) once had a case like that, I took her to a lab for test and it turned out she had a little infection.

She was treated and everything came back to normal.

It's not only through séx that you get infections.

Strange things happening everywhere already...this one na akamu case.

Yeah is normal...it happens sometimes, my girl friend use to have it twice a month.
