There is no question that the Nigerian military's deployment of surveillance and ground attack drones, will prove dramatically successful beyond the wildest dreams of the program's architects, and that greater combat efficiency will inspire a massive expansion of the Nigerian Air Force drone program in all theaters of conflict.

The greatest immediate beneficiaries of this drone presence on the front lines of Nigeria's war on terror, will of course be the infantry troopers, whose strategy and battle tactics will be FAR better informed and effective, thanks to the eye in the sky, and that, will translate into far fewer ambushes, and far fewer successful placements of IED Improvised Explosive Devices targeting federal military vehicular convoys as well as foot patrols.

Given that the vast majority of federal troop casualties recorded during Nigeria's ongoing war on terror, occurred during ambushes, or from exposure to remotely actuated shrapnel spraying booby-traps, the addition of drone battle-space coverage by the Nigerian military, means in simple terms that hundreds, and possibly thousands of soldiers will return to their families from the war-front alive, rather than in body-bags, as is tragically the case all too often when soldiers are put in harm's way, without close tactical air support, either manned, or preferably, unmanned, to keep pace with the times.

This is one of the most equipped millitary drones, USA can never sell suchtechnology to Nigeria. One of my reasons I don't want Nigeria to distance China despite what happened recently.
