The Huawei Y7p isn't the first device to ship without Google Mobile services, following the Huawei/Google ban last year but it is the first one on the Nigerian market. What this means is that the Y7p doesn't ship with all those Google apps you're used to like Play Store, Gmail, Google Maps, YouTube e.t.c and in order to get them on this phone, you'd have to install Google Mobile services unofficially( Yes, It is doable)

All of that is really for tech savvy folks coz many Y7p users will rely on the Huawei App Gallery that is pre-installed.
While it is currently the 3rd largest app store in the world, all 60,000+ apps on it won't nearly suffice for the average Nigerian user.

That's a pure lies.

All apps just need few things..... Where they can fall back to for update. Which am sure the appstore built in with Huawei fones will offer. Even 1mobile market can fetch update for apps so ur point is void.

2ndly, most devices don't even trust Google security again. Most devices now have their cloud base security.
Check huawei cloud, MI cloud which are more stable and more secure than google securities. With a tap u can easily bypass Google frp but this cloud account needs expertise to bypass.

More more more stuffs...... If Huawei stand by their move, it will go a long way to inspire others.

If they want to dare be different, Huawei should give us a fresh OS. Aside from Android.

IOS, android and another one will give the market more fun n competitive

Chinese model phones don't come with Gapps and Google Framework Services and yet they function just fine.

I'm not ready to let go of full fledged Google services and framework devices

that will not be easy, how many people want to risk a new os when there are other phones in the price range using the already popular Android or iOS.
Just imagine Samsung releases an Android device with one ui for 1k dollars and Huawei releases a new device with their new os for the same price,most if not all will pick the Samsung because of trust not many people love to take risk especially when money is involved.Why do you think Samsung hasn't released there own os even though they are even more financially capable than Huawei and has the Galaxy store and other apps identical to Google's own?,it's because they can't risk leaving there position at the top.

Let's accept the likes of whatsapp and Facebook can be downloaded on sites through the browser,most people will still end up installing Google apps because they can't do without them, what's the alternative to Google maps?, Gmail?, YouTube? and the likes.Even some apps and games won't work, those that does a check to ensure you install from the official store or for example Snapchat which won't work because it requires Google's services.

Although what they're doing is good, trying to prove the us doesn't have power over them and like you said it'll inspire others,I just hope there new os should be like that of the blackberry 10 which allows installation of Android apps.

You are very correct. In fact software engineers have proffered solution to it, but still unbeknown to many.

Android started behind windows and Symbian back then, they did their home work befor getting to where they are.

Let me flash u back. Samsung in ur reference also were with windows back then they didn't ditch windows while they were producing with Android. So it only take few years to balance things. And mind you it's Asian we r talking bout. They own the most populous smart brand.
