Why don't you enter other people's church when invited?
It's only in our midst that our own God is worshiped, we avoid any other gathering to keep the first and foremost order of our God {Exodus 20:4} other religionists don't keep this law!

I know someone who went for a wedding but stayed outside till they came out, why?
As worshipers of Jehovah we must avoid the gathering where people keep images for worship!

A friend was chased out of the uncle's house because he refused to attend Jehovah witness with them, why? This is no hearsay.

Can you accommodate a stranger in your home now with the fear of Covid19 everywhere?
Well you can accommodate your own immediate family because they're your primary responsibility but as for strangers you will have to apply strict rules to stay safe.
Similarly JWs will not accommodate you if you're not ready to keep the rules of our God which we strongly believe is life-saving! Proverbs 22:3 smiley

Myth: Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe in heaven.
Apparently, this is not a new saying as people tend to say what they might have heard about the Witnesses not scrutinizing them whether or not they are truth.

.
Truth: Jehovah's Witnesses believe in heaven as the residence of the Creator of the Universe.
.
2. Myth: Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe in hell.
.
Truth: This is where people misunderstand themselves. Jehovah's Witnesses believe 'Hell' is the common grave of mankind. Witnesses do not believe in 'hell fire' as it is unbiblical, unless you'll show me where the original sinners -- Adam and Eve -- went to 'hell fire.'
.
3.
Myth: Jehovah's Witnesses do not celebrate anything.
.
Truth: If you mean holidays like birthdays, Christmas etc., of course yes. Think: what is the relevance of Santa Claus in the bible? Do they or not have pagan origins? In fact, Witnesses commemorate the Death of Jesus as Jesus asked his disciples to do.
.
4. Myth: Jehovah's Witness do not speak in tongues.
.
Truth: Well, Jehovah's Witnesses speak many languages as they come from differing lands but do not involve in the ecstatic speaking performed today by religious leaders. The first century Christians who received the gift used it to preach to people (as the early congregants were filled with people from many lands), so they spoke a language and all who heard understood. Note: To preach. Is that what is done today? Don't throw caution to the wind.

.
5. Myth: Jehovah's Witnesses do not do blood transfusions and are wicked to see their loved one die.
.
Truth: Witnesses put much faith in doing God's will. Sorry to disappoint you, they love their children and loved ones. In fact, medical practitioners agree that it is not safe either, and no guarantee of living well or surviving as no blood samples really match another. Besides, there are other non-blood media. Coming to think of it, Witnesses put faith in the resurrection. Yes, so why worry of this wicked world?

Did you read the article you posted??

It states blood transfusions are majorly safe and adverse reactions are RARE. And even states that it SAVES LIVES. You in no way disproved my point, but confirmed it.

Any medical therapy and even medications will have a small chance of side effects and no doctor hides this.

If the small chance of adverse reactions bother you, why bother taking medications or going to hospital at all?

Why do Jehovah witnesses have major surgery then??
They have side effects too you know??

Why don't jehovah witnesses stay in their house and just pray?

Consent form where?? Maybe in Nigeria cos of ppl like you
blood transfusion has it's own complications. if it us rare even in US that uses advanced technologies to screen. complications are common in Nigeria. have u asked ur self why did some patients still die after receiving blood?
consenting for blood transfusion is standard practice in Nigeria. ask a doctor now and post his or her reply here.

yes

Blood transfusion saves lives

Once a medical doctor narrated on this forum that a woman who was on her labour, but need a blood transfusion to saves her life on cesarean delivery her husband rejected the blood transfusion and the woman died when there was no alternative.

In every other doctrines and beliefs of the Jehovah witnesses I will agree.

But the blood transfusion, that I rejected

Jesus have the charge to his disciples to baptize with this formular:
In the name of the Father,
And of the Son,
And of the Holy Spirit.

Any format outside this one is not baptism.

So I ask any Jehovah's witness to tell me the format you use during your baptism.

Again, how many times was the world supposed to end in Jehovah's Witness prophecies but the world never ended?

Jehovah's Witnesses do not celebrate Christmas because the date is not in the Bible.

So why do you use Roman Catholic calendar to commemorate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ every year? But you don't call it Easter.
I know this because I receive flyers every year about this particular event.
Please can you show me where it is written in the Bible that the date for the event changes from year to year? #last year's date was not the same as this year's own#

Let me first refine your questions. We do not commemorate the resurrection of Jesus. We do not celebrate Easter. What we commemorate is the day Jesus died. On that day he ate the bread and the wine and asked his apostles to keep doing it in remembrance of him in Luke 22:19.
That is what we observe and its totally different from Easter

It all started during my Baptism period. I finished all my study, ready for it and even told my parents who was not witness then only to be told I was not ready by the family that help with my studies. It hurt cos I can see people I was better than getting baptized and I felt it happen cos my parents was not a witness and gradually, I just keep losing interest. I tried to start going to meeting when I left Naija but could not keep up. The boat has sailed.

That is sad to hear, I guess those that studied with you gave you reasons why you should wait before committing yourself water baptism.

Even if others who you felt you where better than were getting baptized, remember it is not a competition, it never is.

The boat you think haven't sailed, hasn't. There is still time, though now short. You can contact Jehovah's Witnesses again, talk to the elders and arrange a study again, with time you will come to appreciate the organization once more and. Re-convince yourself why you wanted to be baptized as one if Jehovah's Witnesses. It takes time but with Jehovah's help you will do it.
Check out jw.org website first, so you know what Jehovah's Witnesses are doing at this time. You can then pick it up from there.
I wish you the best.

If you took time to read genesis 9:4, and leviticus 7:26 which says in part " you must not eat blood" (and you will agree with me that it's not until a drunk take alcohol through mouth before we can say he still drink, he still does even if he have it injected into his system), then you will understand why jehovah's witnesses have maintained that stand when it comes to blood transfusion.

Now, Would you say we completely obey God if we have some of his laws bent just because we want to suit ourselves or our lives are at stake?

Fine we may preserve our lives, yes capital "MAY"! Reason being that blood transfusions does not always preserve lives, not to even mention some terrible illness that do surface after blood transfusion. This is what some of us have experienced and seen.

Jehovahs witness do try as much as possible despite their imperfect state, to maintain a clean conscience in a world where they are faced with circumstances that almost make that impossible.

Do you do blood transfusion or not? This question demands a yes or no answer and not preaching.

Thanks bro. When you realize its one of the most important command we were given at Matthew 24:14, you wouldn't see it as an issue. Our lives are at stake if we don't preach, including the lives of others who need to hear the truth get close to Jehovah. That is why we take this work of preaching, in favourable season and unfavourable. Its a work we enjoy because it makes Jehovah the God we serve, happy.

The most important command God gave is love.... love Ur God and your Neighbor as yourself.....thts the greatest commandment Jesus gave us.....stop lying.

I agree 100% with the speaking in tongues bit. That has always been my belief and I am not a Jehovah's witness. Speaking in tongues simply means speaking in a different language for the benefit of the listener and I have seen it done.

Why are you a Jw?

Isnt it so you don't get destroyed in armageddon??

You're no different to him.

You are not quite right. My being a JW is not so much that I should not be destroyed in Armageddon. Firstly, I have come to love Jehovah from my knowledge of his personality which he has revealed through his inspired word the Bible. And I am very happy and pleased with the way he has purposed to settle the universal issue at stake, and also the love he has demonstrated by sending his only begotten Son Jesus Christ to furnish the random sacrifice on behalf of all those who would exercise faith in him.
For a JW, our salvation is secondary. We have come to love Jehovah and are ready to worship him forever on paradise earth under his government. Our devotion to God is beyond our desire to be saved; and of course we believe our unfailing God who cannot lie will reward our loyalty and faithfulness just as he has promised.
Hope I am clear?

Jesus Christ himself was a Jehovah's Witness. Do we need to meet him to know who Jehovah's Witnesses are? The answer is already here, dear. Have you taken time to read and meditate on Isaiah chapter 43? There is so much in that chapter to enlighten you so you know the spiritual significance of that Bible based name JEHOVAH'S WITNESS.

patients or relatives must sign consent form before before receiving blood. it is standard practice transfusion medicine worldwide. is blood transfusion safe. answer is no. it is becoming safer does not mean it is safe. DO NOT TELL ME BLOOD IS SAFE?
all forms of treatment including surgeries or medication have their complications or adverse effects. nothing is really safe in medicine. that is why we have concept of patient-centred healthcare on deviation from past doctor- centred care.

Jesus said they will be thrown into the Everlasting lake of fire where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Can someone in the grave weep and gnash their teeth?

In discussing this place in Matthew 13:42, Jesus did not use the word “Hades,” the Greek equivalent of the Hebrew word “Sheol.” Rather, he used the word “Gehenna” in the Hebrew version. This word referred to a refuse dump close to Jerusalem, called the Valley of Hinnom, where a fire was kept burning to destroy the garbage. It was a fitting term to make Jesus’ listeners think, not of eternal suffering, but of complete destruction, annihilation by fire.

He drove this point home when he warned that God “can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.” (Matthew 10:28, NAB) Gehenna is a symbol of eternal death, not eternal torture.

God is a God of love. He does not torture people eternally in hell. Infact he outrightly stated it so many times how much he hates the idea of burning children in the fire. He said it is detestable for people to burn their children. (Jeremiah 32:35 Ezekiel 23:37, Ezekiel 16:21). So who is lying and spreading these lies? Obviously someone who wants to paint Jehovah as a cruel God, Satan the Devil.

That doesn't mean he will tolerate wickedness. The wicked ones will be destroyed indefinitely.
