I bought my Nokia 5.1 mid last year,

After about 4 months it started having charging port issues, finally I had to replace it which doesn't seem to last up to 2 months.

And replacement cost around 4k , I usually do the replacement at Gsm village Abuja ,

Early this year I had to travelled to kaduna State unfortunately the charging issue started again , and I couldn't get the parts there .

I asked a local phone mechanic to see if he could do something about it cos I needed to stay and work online.

He tried and it worked shaa, but within a month it started again this time the phone goes off without coming up again

I got back to Abuja, instead of going to gsm village, (hoping it would be cheaper) I took it to a friend at wuse market hoping they could power on the phone

More than 3 people worked on it , before it finally powered on

But the phone started over heating and didn't last for 4hours before going off and it never came up again,

I got really frustrated cos I was hoping I could get a cheaper solution to the charging issue I no wan dey pay the phone 4k every month,

Though I finally bought the 3 charging ports on AliExpress for 350 naira

Finally took the phone to gsm village they changed the Port but the phone didn't power on

They tested the charger and it was passing current to phone but it doesn't light up

After spending almost 10k (they claim to work on the IC) it came up again but was still over heating

And doesn't last 5hours .

With time realized that if it goes off after over heating it won't power on again and won't show charging sign sometimes it might be charging though because.

Sometimes the phone will get hot when charging even though it's not on

But each time it powers on miraculously the battery will always be around 70% or above

But phone keeps over heating even when it's on flight mode .

I have formatted it both hard reset and soft it's still doing same just to rule out malware and VIRUS , it still over heats

I had to get a small Tecno with 1gig ram that's frustrating me

I still wish to repair the phone but I don't know what the issue might be, why it's over heating and
why it doesn't power on

I checked online and found that the charging port is the major issue with Nokia 6 and 5

But since I can get them(ports) cheaper on AliExpress I still want to use the phone

My guess is that the issue is with battery or the panel

If it's the panel na to park the phone
I don't mind changing the battery

If you have any idea what the issue could be please help me

The battery is around 5k, I don't want to waste 5k and it turns out to be panel problem

I will really appreciate your help

Thanks
