I practiced Buddhism from 2014 to 2018. In all, Buddhism taught me it isn't the labels that matter, but who I have become as a Buddhist.

I was fortunate to be under the teachings of Western circular Buddhist who describes himself as someone who is irreligious but enormously inspired by the knowledge the Buddha shared. I followed in that path and I loved every bit of it.

In 2017, I met a Buddhist community here in Nigeria that practiced Nicheren Buddhism, Soka Gakkai International (SGI). I was excited about the idea of meeting people who shared my faith but along the line, I was never drawn to that sect. Eventually, I left the group and dropped Buddhism as a religion in 2018.

What I learned: it is not about being a "spiritual" person, but about walking the path. It is not about the labels, it is about your personality and character.

Take it from someone who has studied all of those spiritual/religious systems and MORE, it is about who you are! You would find yourself telling people even when they didn't ask about how spiritual you are but true spiritual knowledge will teach you not of that matters at all.

Your quest for spirituality may still be disguided even if it is for a greater cause.

What's meant to be secret is secret and you can't see them because they operate in secrecy like cults. Whoever is going into them should beware what he/she is putting himself to.

Instead of attaining Bhuddahood for oneself, you return to the world to help those still suffering by letting it be seen how the path is walked.

One of the reason why I am not still married is because of my inability to posses deep spiritual knowledge/power.

The moment I get this I will settle down.

I hate stories of my village people, my enemies, etc.

First understand that nobody receives unless he's given from the above. In this light, humble yourself before God lay aside your priestly robe and join the 24 elders in worship. Seek God with all your heart with clear conscience. Honor the body of Christ without negligence. God's a rewarder of those who seek him diligently! Lastly, if it's God you want to really host, you must die to yourself.

Did you acquire any spiritual powers through Buddhism?

I love Buddhism so much,it's my favorite religion. I love their maturity and deep knowledge of the world.

I observed practicing this religion will enable people solve some of the physical problems facing humanity. I have also benefited from the little meditation I have done. I am not descipled with my medications (I still struggle to find time**Procrastination**).

Buddhist teaching actually helped me to understand my mind,know it merits and demerits. It enabled me to embark on the journey of conquering my mind, silencing the thinker(Monkey mind).

This little practice has helped me a lot.

I can now focus for a short time,with less distractions.

He kept many of those books in his house, if you are not a member you won't understand what's written no matter how many times you read it

I know their is nothing like God or the devil.The both entities are used to represent good an evil.

Basically, "do not live by bread alone", but you become like a child and abandon all your preconceived misconceptions, which a wise man said is harder than a camel going through a needles eye.

I'd have asked op to start here, but he seems to want quick and easy answers to lifetime questions, and is under the preconceived notion that organised religion has nothing to offer him even while mentioning Amorc that requires the belief in the existence of God.
