Personal holiness basically talks about we being righteous and dedicated to God. The object of this holiness can only be achieved through its means. What are these Means? Here, Means refer to serving God through an act of holiness under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. If we don't act under the influence of the holy spirit, then, our personal service to God cannot be effective.

Why is it necessary for us to be holy?
God is our Father and we strive to be like him daily. This is why we are called Christians. Therefore, it is only in this holiness we can achieve God's purpose for us. The handbook says "We cannot do anything without God abiding in us and we abiding in him." Hence, it's necessary for us to achieve Personal Holiness. When we receive the fruits of the Holy Spirit, the holiness of the church is shown through those fruits. Remember, that one of our primary duties as legionaries is to save souls for Christ. This means that we striving for holiness is not just a benefit to us but to save other souls as well. Therefore, if you are not holy, many souls would not be saved.
As we do this, May our Mother Mary continue to intercede for us and give us strength to continue the will of God through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Holiness and Righteousness go together. In a biblical sense, Holiness is simply staying away from sin.
Righteousness refers to a good moral standard.

If Holiness meant simply staying away from Sin, then why did Jesus not embrace the rich man who asked Him how to make it to the Kingdom of God?
And if righteousness refers simply to a good moral standard, why then does Jesus not embrace all those who simply adopt a good moral standard? After all Jesus said that the righteous shall inherit the Kingdom of Heaven, yet everywhere He went, He made certain to let people know that those who do not do as He commands will not make it into His kingdom, no matter how moral they believed themselves to be.

I believe there to be a problem when those who throw these words around so freely do not themselves see what is right in front of their eyes.
