Every living Nigeria knows that "one Nigeria"Is a pipe dream even though they are afraid to say it.but I noticed the major reason why Nigeria is still existing today is not really because Afonjas refuse to join the struggle for self determination started by the igbos no.it is because of fear of the North ,the North has so much risen to power that if they decide the exit Nigeria today nothing can stop them ,I repeat nothing can stop them are Yoruba ready for war never.

Why is the North so powerful?

There are two major factors that strengthens the North (1)disunity of the South (2)the oil In the Niger delta .
As for the former the South is by far the most ununited region in Nigeria nairaland Is a good case study.no ethnic group in the South like each other in the past I use to think Igbos are the most hated by then I realised it is not really an Igbo thing but a southern thing the same way the ijaw dislike Igbo is the same way he dislikes yoruba and even his minor ethnic neighbours.

Let's over look the minorities .the population of Igbos and Yorubas alone constitutes 40 percent of Nigerian population.if these two major ethnic group can be united the North will be brought to their knees. But how can that be achieved seriously I don't know.

As for the latter the Niger delta is the backbone of Nigeria's wealth if the North are denied access to Niger delta oil then they will be a toothless bulldog.
