Hello Everyone,

I’m dire need of a mentor for my aspiring career path, I know Nairaland is a place to build right connections, network and mentors. I will be grateful if I can get someone that has walked in my path to help a young ambitious lady.

I am aspiring to be a Diplomat, International Civil Servant like UN, ECOWAS, AU amongst others; I’m also looking at a career path with International Governmental Organisations and NGOs. I have been applying, I’m not losing faith neither I’m I going to look back but sometimes you need that PUSH.
I graduated with a Second Class Upper (2:1) in International Relations, I have a Masters Degree in Political Science from University of Lagos, I did my NYSC in Lagos with a reputable Federal Organization but not my career path.

I plan on Joining the Institute of Foreign Affairs, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, I’m a Graduate member of Chartered Institute of Personal Management, NIIA, I’m taking some courses on Humanitarian and Disputed Studies online. I’m very opened to broaden my knowledge and horizon to make me a better candidate in my field. For my language, I’m a bit fluent in French, I just started a course in Mandarin Language online.

Wonderful People that work with Nigeria Foriegn Service, Diplomatic and Intelligence outfit, International Organizations, NGOs, Strategic Officers, Political Analysts and many more. Please give me tips on how you got the jobs, what more certifications do I need? Do you mind checking my CV if there’s something wrong. I will appreciate feedbacks, messages, I’m open to everything to have sail ride. I’ll be glad if I can get a mentor especially if God is talking to you, I promise you won’t regret it.

PS: I’m 25 years old, based in Lagos but willingly to relocate because I know some jobs are strategic and some have headquarters in Abuja and other States. I’m very open to Internship that will give me a working experience edge.

Hmm... ECOWAS, huh..
Might know a thing or two about how to get in. Used to live behind ECOWAS secretariat for some years, and got to know some people.

Lol, just wondering what informed your decision to give yourself that moniker (Behind Nigerian) sounds narcissistic, doesn't it...

How did I even stumble upon this thread? It's a mystery. cheesy Just woke up, and started wondering about Nairaland, I guess.
