We planted a little space with cassava just half plot. I took like one year and it was harvested. The cassava did well. I could not peel all for Garri production so we got some Garri processor to buy like 85% of the cassava. After it was loaded on the truck it was like half full. We sold it for 7k.
We used the remaining cassava to make small Garri like half bag and also Lafun and Amala for home use though.

It was a small project and a good learning experience before going big. For those of you that do not know how to make Amala with dried cassava, I will explain that in my next post.

Don't Ignore that small piece of land you have around. Just plant something and before you know it, harvest is ready.

I didn't do anything much. It's the first time cassava is planted there just organic manure like decaying leaves and the land is fertile, and it spent one year before harvest.

Can you re-plant immediately after harvest?
How long do you need to leave the land to regenerate before planting cassava on it again.

The best time to plant is definitely when rain has started and the soil is moist. The cassava stick will not germinate in dry soil. Anything from April, may, June, July is perfect.

you can leave the land for at least 2weeks during the period you can apply organic manure like decaying leaves and animal waste. Then you can cultivate and plant.
You can preserve the cassava stick by putting it in the soil pending when you will plant it..
