No fewer than 70 people have been killed by suspected members of Boko Haram/Islamic States of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists during a fresh attack on a village, on Tuesday June9, in Borno.

According to a source who told media, the attackers killed about 300 cows and over 1000 rusted alive during the attack which was carried out in Faduma Koloram village in Gubio local government area of Borno State, on the afternoon of June 9, 2020.

It was gathered that before attacking the Koloram village, the Boko HaramIslamic/ Islamic States of West Africa Province (ISWAP) members had earlier unleashed terror on the residents of Malam Karamti village and Daban Shatta.

They accused the villages of spying on them and make sure they leave no stone in the attack, members of community who manage to escape returned to meet their loved ones soaked with blood.

“It is the most deadly attack in recent times. The location of the village made rescue mission a bit difficult,” one of the witnesses said.

“Many people were killed and others missing because the attackers waylaid the village in broad daylight, surrounded it and opened fire.”
