I started off at $155,000 per year after taxes, now am at $180,000. Next stop.....Senior Manager soon by God's grace.
GingerBreadMan:
Your figures seem high (see range from glass door in attached) but good for you all the same. Cheers.

Trust me, ranges are just estimates and not a true reflection. I have I.T audit managers making over 200k dollars especially in the financial sector like I do. How many job interviews have you attended? Surely you've heard of negotiations, I once went to an interview and they offered me their maximum salary of $130,000, I WALKED AWAY! Two days later they called and offered me $150,000.....KNOW YOUR WORTH MY G!

Ok oh. Anyone can make a personal claim and then there is publicly available data. That is USA for you, you tell a “padded story” and folks can easily cross-check your story.

No, he needs basic (vanilla JS) before going to React. React is written in JavaScript and they use vanilla to write it. I would suggest he master Dom, ES6 and the rest.

7 Things to know before jumping to JavaScript Framework.

- JavaScript fundamentals
- classes
- modules
- promises
- High order arrow functions
- Destructuring
- Arrow functions
Not a bad idea though, just that people spend too much time learning the syntax rather than building stuff. React encompasses all these things you listed such as arrow function, destructuring etc although it has a subtle way of doing things.

That’s the beauty of the interweb. Whenever someone makes a (bogus sounding) claim, it is quite easy to fact-check ... it might lead to some unpleasantness but at least there is a medium by which we can educate ourselves. It is well my guy.

Once again, believe what you will but just to prove your ignorance, here's more stats from salary.com:

https://www.salary.com/research/salary/benchmark/information-technology-auditor-manager-salary

Just a simple google search already debunked your theory, so why again would I waste time arguing with someone that's clueless of my profession? Silly grin grin grin grin

OK, so your data confirms the figures I provided about average salary for that job function. Remember, your original claim is that your take home pay AFTER tax is 155K .... (hmmmmmm, see link to your post below).
How long have you been doing this job btw?

Guy I've already told you I'm not going to argue with you, what don't you understand about that? I just wanted to show you that you didn't have all the facts, people do make more than the range, negotiation skills and companies matter. Out of all the top paying companies for I.T audit manager, PWc is very average, heck Wells Fargo and Cigna pays way more than them but like I said believe what you will, if it would help you sleep well at night grin grin grin

Aha ... so magically WF pays more because?? (let me guess, they make more money that PWC but somehow that information is not available online) ... ok oh grin
I see you dodged the question ... “how long have you been doing this job”? grin

Don't dwell too long on mastering Vanilla Js syntax because it would just waste your time. Dive into React and Redux as fast as possible. Vanilla JavaScript syntax is different from React Jsx syntax, dive into React immediately.

There are entirely different things and I think professionals in both fields are on the same level of earnings, in accordance with their expertise.
