TOPIC: FAILURE (ADVERSITY) IS THE FATHER OF FORTUNE (PROSPERITY!)

BASIC SCRIPTURE:
JOB 1:9-22.

Welcome to today’s devotional with the God of awesome wonders, who can make something from nothing, who can make a way out of no way and who can turn failures to fortunes! If they told Job that his life would be ten times better than it was or that he would recover to the fullest all that he had lost or better still that he would have double of his entire wealth at last, he would never have believed that prophecy. For a man who was the richest and wealthiest in the Eastern region of his day to come to complete bankruptcy and absolute nothingness is the height of failure.

Oh! He failed until even failures called him a failure! Ah! What could be worse than that? What could be worse than a man losing all his investments, properties, labour, savings, children, fame, respect and dignity all in one day? Did I hear you say “in one day” Oh! Yes! In one day! Job lost everything in one day! Today’s Scripture says in Verses 14-19: “And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, ” The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them: And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped to tell thee.’ While he was yet speaking, there came another and said,…”
Wow! I call it failure in succession! And what the Holy Ghost is saying to a uaer of today’s devotional is that, if Job despite all his failures made it, will make it also. No matter how the year has been and no mater the failures of the past, Jehovah God shall elevate your destiny despite any setback!
I SEE HIGHER SUCCESS!
I see success hunters and demotion agents being paralyzed! Yes, you will be so successful until the successtul calls you a success. Reject bitterness! Vs. 22 says: “In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.” In every dark cloud, there is a silver lining.

Don’t charge God foolishly this year and don’t be bitter with yourself! Never forget that ADVERSITY IS WHAT GIVES BIRTH TO PROSPERITY and your best is yet to come! Amen and amen!

2. Lord, I loose myself from self-condemnation and self-pity now and I declare that my best days are still ahead and I must be elevated by fire in Jesus name.
3. Abba Father, turn my past failures into my present day fortunes in Jesus name.
4. Satan you are a liar, no matter the matter, I refuse to give up on my God. This is my year and I must testify in Jesus name.

TOPIC: STRETCH IT NOW! REFUSE SELECTIVE SUCCESS!

BASIC SCRIPTURE: ECCLESIASTES 9: 13-18

Welcome! Ecclesiastes 8:1 says: “Who is as the wise man? And who knoweth the interpretation of a thing? A man’s wisdom maketh his face to shine, and the boldness of his face shall be changed. You will shine this year because the LORD will do a thing that will surprise your nation. Ecclesiastes 9:15-16 also says: “Now there was found in it a poor Wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city, yet no man remembered that same poor man. Then said l, ‘Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard.” Wow! A POOR MAN’S WISDOM IS DESPISED.

So why was the WISE MAN POOR in the first place? He was poor because he could not make FULL USE OF THE WISDOM ON HIS INSIDE! He made SELECTIVE USE of it! That means you can be successful in your marriage but become a failure in your prayer or Word life! Yes! Some people are success stories in their finances, but failures in their homes or in managing people! Some are success stories in their prayer and zeal for God, but very bad MORAL FAILURES! They cannot handle fornication, adultery, masturbation, lesbianism, homosexualism, anger, forgiveness, pride, self-pity, depression, etc. They are also cheats and liars! They cannot be trusted with money or trusted to keep an agreement, yet they are always in church! Why was a man who could deliver a city not able to deliver himself?

He probably forgot that WISDOM IS ELASTIC! IF YOU DON’T STRETCH IT, YOU WILL END UP AS A SHAMEFUL LAND! See Luke 2:52 -“And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.” Did you get that? WISDOM can grow or remain stagnant! It can INCREASE or decrease. YOU CAN STRETCH IT or just use it in only one area of your life or ministry! The Holy Ghost wants you to cry out to God for grace to STRETCH THE WISDOM OF GOD IN YOU to COVER every area of your existence! This is TOTAL WISDOM APPLICATION to ALL AREAS OF YOUR LIFE, FAMILY AND MINISTRY! Refuse to be a SELECTIVE SUCCESS! STRETCH IT to all areas! Start praying now!

PRAYER POINTS: Take any song of worship as led.

1. In your own words, pray about today as word as led now.
2. O LORD, baptize me with Your Divine Wisdom today/daily. O LORD, render impotent the wisdom of the wicked concerning me today in Jesus name.
3. From this day, I receive GRACE TO STRETCH the wisdom of God in all areas of my life, family and ministry.
4. I shall not be a success in some areas and a failure in some areas of my life! Help me LORD to have an ALL-ROUND SUCCESS ELEVATION STORY! Take away areas or shame and past failures!
5. I refuse to be a despised wise man! No! I stretch the wisdom of God into the following areas of my life (MENTION THEM NOW).
