On The Jubilee Syringe Factory

“We have them in many sizes, like 2ml, 5ml and 10ml,” a male attendant working with the Samboson Pharmacy Nigeria Limited at Eniong Street by Nyong Essien Street, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, who preferred not to be mentioned in this report, told yours truly, this morning, at the Pharmacy.

I had gone to the Pharmacy to purchase some drugs and medical equipment for personal use on my doctors’ prescription when, I sighted a lot of packets of Jubilee Syringes produced in ONNA local government in the pharmacy.

The Syringes are another good products and achievement of the Udom Emmanuel’s administration.

I am an advocate of good governance. I believe in good governance and when I see one, I recognise it and spot it out for commendation.

Governor Emmanuel should be commended for this Jubilee Syringes and I commend him for it.

I am not a believer of the ‘political party democracy’ which we are practicing in Nigeria today. This is what has destroyed our country. This system breeds destructive criticisms. No matter what a government does as positive achievements, members of the political parties not in power can never see such achievements and applaud the government.

This is why we are where we are today in terms of development and growth. Everything is politics and political parties!

If we must make progress, politicians should see their political parties as merely vehicles to secure political offices and after elections, let the parties’ offices/doors be closed, let the parties’ flags be flown at half-mast. Let the people across party lines embrace the government notwithstanding the ideological differences.

And, let the interests of the people and the State be of paramount chief to our political power gladiators. This is the only solution to end the underdevelopment, bitterness and ceaseless war in our land!

Kudos to Governor Emmanuel on the Jubilee Syringe factory.
