The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on June 18th, 2020 announced that Nigeria recorded it highest confirmed cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in a day. The health management centre made this known in a tweet via it official Twitter page @NCDCgov, where it stated that the country recorded 745 new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) within 24 hours. Out of the amount recorded, Lagos State alone recorded 280 new cases of the ravaging virus, bringing the total confirmed cases in the state to 7,896.
