Hi NL, I would like to apply for a Swedish visiting visa. I just received an invitation from a friend of mine in Stockholm, Sweden. She sent me a copy of the biodata page of her passport, personbevis ( Evidence of citizenship), her Accommodation contract, Bank statement for 12months and the invitation letter. What i want to know if anyone in the house has idea if the Swedish embassy do issue visiting visas. I have read alot of thread here that students do find it hard to get student visas, so i hope it is not the same for a visiting visa. I have been issued 2 German visas, 1 south African visa, and one Greek visa on my epassport. I had the old passport which is missing but i have copies of the visas that were issued on them such as 2 UK visa"s, one was issued in New york, while the other was in Nigeria, US visa. So i need some more info from the house or advice will be much appreciated. Thanks

The sweden embassy do issue visa if you provide the original documents bt they can be slow in making decisions. Goodluck

just pkg the right docus the ones u have been using
b4 and apply. Though they might be late in response
but i bet you will get it. Moreover, they might decide
to attend to you on time

@suxesse thanks for the advice, Men just that after readin the tread on how the swedish embassy b turning down applications for student permit. But i will turn in my application soon. How late u talkin abt as in for them to respond. Was thinkin that i shld just go to Norway and apply with a hotel reservation astleast i cld still use the visa to visit sweden. wat do u think

Yeah but the gist i have been gettin abt this ppl scares the hell outta of me, and again the person invitin me is a lady and this ppl might think i plan stayin over or am havin a relationship wit the lady. so i was thinkin maybe apply thru norway wit a hotel reservation and just tell them am going for holidays.

@ Ogugua- I am 100% sure that u w' gt ur visa if u provide d right documents. Student permit is nt hard ATALL,i was refused last year because i applied very late,i was denied because my school as resumed. Just package ur ORIGINAL documents and hit d embassy.I am very sure dat u w' come back here wif good news.

Its 46, if you try 0046 and the number u want to dia and it did not work then try +46 then the number.

You need not be scared abt what you hear,Swedish visiting visa is a shengen visa,and according to the information you provided here,you have been issued  shengen visa twice before.As long as you can show proof that you'll return after your visit,you'll be fine.

If you are single and the lady in question is single as well,it is normal for the visa officer to have that doubt that you are an intending immigrant,but as long as you can proof that you will be returning after your visit,there is no big deal.they might also want to know how you meet this lady ,the last time you saw her,how often you guys communicate,why you want to visit her etc.

@Davedavy- thanks man for the advice, yeah i have been issued 2 german visas in the past, but u know u rite they will come up wit all this questions.
