The Chief of Army Staff, Lt- General Tukur Buratai, yesterday said the Nigerian Army has resolved to continue to fight the security challenges bedevilling the country.

The Army chief stated this at the Passing Out Parade of the 79 Regular Recruit Intake of Depot Nigerian Army, Zaria on Saturday.

He disclosed that the country is faced with numerous security challenges by the activities, especially Boko Haram insurgency, arm banditry, kidnapping and other criminal activities.

Buratai, who was represented by Lt. Lamidi Adeosun, Chief of policy and planning, Army Headquarters, said with the enlistment of the 4, 198 soldiers would bring an end to the insurgency bedeviling the country.

He said with the enlistment of the soldiers, the Nigerian Army would continue to tackle the security challenges facing the country.

He lauded the training institution of the Depot for providing the manpower needs of the Nigerian Army.

He also assured them of their readiness of enhancing the welfare of the staff of the Depot and Nigerian army in general.

He said the institute would continue to receive more logistics support

I really pity the mothers who allow their children to go into the Nigeria army despite the fact that they're being killed on a regular basis
