I am happy to see that there are quite a number of groups offering organized hikes in Nigeria. They are so many good hiking routes in Nigeria and I was able to visit some. Great thing about hiking is it can be absolutely free if you know the route but maybe a lot easier with a guide.

Nigerians don't know zilch about hiking.

It has not been up to one month a hiker died in kubwa Abuja. In case of emergency, what do you do?
Do you know anything about first aid?

What about calling emergency service like hospital?

@sassysure I did take a first aid course its part of lessons required for getting a drivers license in Germany but truth be told I don't how effective I would be administering first aid. Hikers unfortunately die sometimes - all around the world.

Its often due to misjudging their own strength, the conditions of the trail or just unfortunate situations. And I honestly do not know what the emergency number in Nigeria would be.

@meobizy well hiking is just going for walk and if anything its cheaper than going to the beer parlour if you don"t take a guide
