Check again, ogiri is there in my ingredients and was added in my step 6. My head didn’t scatter though, at least na me still type the thread.

Ogiri has to be one overrated shii or maybe it is an acquired taste. grin

Please apologize to the gods before they vex on u for that bolded statement.

ogili is a seasoning given to us by the gods. it is one of the reason our forefathers lived to see 120 years and above.

ogili is mostly used in seasoning soups that were given to us by the gods - soups like ofe oha and ofe onugbu - the soup of the gods given to man to help him live long and fruitful.

Maybe you didn't buy original ogiri. Ogiri is spiritual, the smell is ahhh dunno how to describe it, the taste nkọ inside ọha soup tongue tongue hulala. I even taste mine before adding to the soup grin. I don't buy the already wrapped ogiri, I go for the one they measure aka nke nkonye tongue
When yellow pepper and enough crayfish is added. Ụka agbasa (church dismissed)

Oha soup without akwụ, ede and ogiri is not ọha. Achị, grounded cocoyam, quaker oat should not serve as thickener ooo
I prefer ọha to onugbu

*drops mic*

We are together on this.......don't know what the achi might taste like thou but I have never used it.

I am correct anambra sissie but I stopped cooking with ogiri many many yrs ago. But that won't stop me from eating food cooked with it. Recently, I'm having the crave for home stuffs and ogiri is among them so I will make small and put in my freezer for any ogiri food.

It's choice. Respect people's choice.
I don't use hand to shred one, I cut with knife and it's still òha soup. From my mum to grandmum to so many women use knife. Some use hand. All na choice.

Honestly Sassy, your people are one of the reasons I will never support Biafra. It is going to be like frying pan to fire.

Anambra people will choke the rest of SE states with their oversabi and supremacist mindset. Always acting like their way is the perfect and only way. Everywhere they enter, you must know they are there!! Jeez!

I don't like the soup coz the leaf is hard, I expect it to be soft and gentle on the tongue.
The leave is not hard, you even have to dry it in the sun a little to make it a little hard.

Are you sure you're talking about Oha leaves?

to cook with ogiri is a choice but to infer that ogiri is optional in onugbu or ora is outright foolhardiness

Poco, well done. I can see you like cooking just like me.

Oha soup is one of my favourite soups. When combined with uziza and ogiri eeh, you'll sell all your belongings. Lol

I cut my oha leaves with hand, i learnt that if you use knife it'll be bitter. Is that true?
I can see you didn't cut yours.

Nice one

None of my concern oh, but you are right. From one oppression to another, humans will never be free from oppression cheesy

Even in Yoruba land, if Tinubu dies for example, you would think Yorubas would be free right? Ghen Ghen. A new oppressor will arise who will be even far worse.
