The country we are living is indeed a wonderful place but you have to define which wonderful. So there was a fire outbreak in the popular Marian Market in Calabar, Cross River state on Friday night. Listening to news this morning on radio HitFm 95.9 while victims of the fire incident made their ordeals, they said when they were called to notify of the fire, despite being at night, they had to rush down to the market to see how they can help situation. They personally put a call across to state fire service to come to their rescue but the response they got from the official is that the [/]tanker has no diesel and no water in the tank.[/b]

Brothers and sisters, we are finished in this country. In fact, let me not go further because it really broke my heart when I listened to that news this morning.

We might as well scrap the fire services so we don't use them for cosmetics by politicians, make sure they don't get a budget allocation.
I remember Kaduna central market burning, the fire brigades we're just looking and driving the truck while people were losing their livelihood and they still get paid can you imagine. I'll say this whatever is not working we crap it simple. Let us know that we don't have it at all. In fact let us privatise it so that if you need them you pay simple.
