20th century

"451 degrees Fahrenheit by Ray Bradbury BookmarkRoman's 451 degrees Fahrenheit Anthropy for over 60 years. The book was first published in Playboy magazine in 1953.

451 degrees is the ignition temperature of paper. The action in the novel takes place at a time when books are ruthlessly destroyed, reading people are considered criminals, they are persecuted and isolated from society. To destroy books there are special workers - firemen, burners, so-called fighters for happiness. Books are dangerous because they make you think.
