Please Help! Work Email On Blackberry by fsb(m): 4:31pm On Feb 03, 2011
I really hope some blackberry administrator can help me out here. I'm having problem configuring my work email on my BB 9700. I have no problems with Gmail and Yahoo.

My problem is dat I added my work email (Bleep@brandexclaim.com) and it automatically configured the address. Unfortunately, I can only seem to send emails but don't receive any emails. The reply-to address isn't the problem. I think it issue is that I cant insert the incoming mail server settings and port no, etc.

Is there a way to resolve this issue? I went to the Glo customer center in kano and the guy told me to either get it done by our corporate techie (which we don't hav cos we are a small start-up) or drop it with them but the latter would take weeks to resolve.

I really hope smeone out there has a way around this. Thanks

you need to ask for the pop3 email settings from your work network;s administrator as well as the SMTP server setting from your internet provider.

Hi,

I have all the settings. My problem is how to where to insert them. Unlike with micrsoft outlook, when configuring email address on the Blackberry, you don't get the choice to insert mail server settings manually.

Hope u understand?

Thanks a lot for trying to help me out wit this. Okay, when I click settings (under email I guesss), I see the ff links:
Change passowrd
Language
View eula

Email accounts
Help
Close

I click on email accounts and it opens a page listing all configured email addresses on my device (4 of them), with the option to edit or delete each address.

I click on edit link under work email and see d following links:
Email acct name
Reply to
Your name
Username
Password
Signature
Auto bcc to

Advanced settings.

I click on advanced settings. What I see is imap.brandexclaim.com. Use SSL check box is ticked and port number is there as well. However, d only parameters I can edit is the email server and whether or not to use ssl.

What do u suggest as the way forward.

Hey,

Thanks. I finally got it receiving messages. Had to log into my BIS account on the glo website and edit the setting. Don't know why that worked on my PC but not when done via my phone.

Thanks a lot for your help though.
