•Twenty robbery suspects have met their waterloo in the hands of anti-robbery policemen in Ondo State, as they were smoked out from different black spots in the state.
Four of the suspects, Hilary Mughala, 42, Samuel Allen, 32, Jonathan Kaigbon, 42 and Danatu Dura, were apprehended at Ode-Irele as they went knocking on people’s doors, claiming to be strangers only to rob them.

Using the method, the suspects allegedly carted away victims’ money but were arrested in Akure.
Other suspects, Dele Ariyo, Idowu Timothy, Ayeni Oluyemi, who the police said specialized in stealing laptops and handsets, broke into the victims’ houses in Akure before nemesis caught up with them.

Special Anti-Robbery Squad, which was acting on a tip-off, rounded them up at about 10 pm that fateful day.
Ebere Chukwu, 20, Ikechukwu Okere, 25, who were bus conductors, allegedly hijacked a taxi cab along Igbokoda, Akure, tortured the driver and collected N15,000 from him.
They were said to have driven the car to Ore before they were nabbed at Okitipupa.
Akinwale Temitope, 19, and Sunday Arawale, 25, were also arrested while they were breaking into people’s houses and stealing their hansets.

A police source told Daily Sun that the victims arrested and handed them over to the police.
Parading the suspects before newsmen, the Police Commissioner, Mr. Innocent Ilozuoke, explained that Chidi Nwankwo and members of his gang came from Lagos to rob passengers along Ilara expressway before one of them was apprehended while others developed wings.

Mughala told Daily Sun that he started robbery business while he was still in his home state, Imo. He confessed carrying out many robbery operations in Imo State before relocating to Akure.
"It was hard condition that prompted me to rob. I found it difficult to get a job for my daily bread.
"I have three children. I am from Imo State. I pray, the victims should forgive me," he wept.
Meanwhile, Ilozuoke has appealed to members of the public to always give the police necessary information that would help them to fight crime.
