But that said, why should a lady allow this? Did she not time it well or what? How can she expose this innocent baby to such a risk. An educated lady like her (i assume) should know better. God dey!

It is not the fault of the Bank but the lady. The Banks' policy will require a pregnant woman to start her maternity leave 2-4 weeks before her EDD. But these ladies, would want to take their leave from the theatre so that they'll spend all their 3 months at home with the new baby. It's sad.

Heard it on the radio. Thank God for her and the kid too.

I thank the Almighty for the safe delivery and for keeping the life of mother and child.

This is quite a shame on GTbank, the lady should have been forced to go on leave in line with HR policy that should support it.

The lady's Branch manager and HR manager are not up and doing, they have only succeded in endangering the  lives of mother and child. In my last two employments ladies are forced to go on their maternity leave. What was the lady and her husband thinking that they would allow the woman to work until child delivery?

What a shame and gross incompetence on the HR of GTbank.

How is GTBank wrong? She could have taken her maternity leave before she put to bed. The bank wont ask you for your EDD and in this clime, ladies keep it to themselves

Thank God for her save delivery. But my advice to all you ladies to take ur maternity live when you re due.

Congrats to baby and mum o. Working environment is harsh in the banking sector. Mothers usually want to have enough time to be with their newborns. That's why many delay going on mat leave. You cant blame the poor woman.
