National Assembly Commission Appoints Ojo Amos Olatunde As Acting Clerk by fergie001: 8:55pm On Jul 17, 2020

The National Assembly Service Commission has appointed Ojo Amos Olatunde as acting clerk.

The appointment comes a day after the commission queried Mohammed Sani-Omolori for refusing to retire as clerk of the national assembly after 35 years in service.

National Assembly Service Commission has approved the Appointment of Clerks of the National Assembly.

1. Ojo Amos Olatunde - Action Clerk To the National Assembly

2. Bala Yabani Mohammed Acting Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly

3. Dauda Ibrahim El-Ladan - Acting Clerk, Senate

4. Patrick A. Giwa - to remain Clerk, House of Representatives pending in retirement in November, 2020

5. Yusuf Asir Danbatta - Acting Secretary to the National Assembly Service Commission

Good one...ensure u are careful in your role cos the former abokii clerk never rest o, he wanted to turn the position to monarchy so he refused retiring after spending 35 years.

How do you put a Yoruba Southerner as head and have him surrounded by northern vipers. A very difficult position aimed at strangulating his effectiveness.

Make no mistake, an average northerner does not like to serve under a southerner. He prefers to be surrounded by smart Southerners while he sits at the top.

See WTO DG job, see the candidates making press conferences, their countries raising campaign committees to support them, high-wired diplomacy, negotiations...but in Nigeria, some unknown entities are appointed to positions without interview nor competition, e.g., NDDC, NSTIF, CBN, NNPC, DSS, NIA...and we think Nigeria would function?
