WASSCE: ASSU Gives Support To FG Cancellation Of Exam by 01Decent(m): 11:10am On Jul 19, 2020
The Academic Staff Union Of Universities (ASSU) has given it’s support to FG cancellation of 2020 WAEC Exam which was earlier scheduled to commence starting from on 4th of August, 2020.

The Academic union advised the federal government not to reopen school until 2021 to ensure adequate preparation are put in place to better contain the spread of the pandemic. The Union cited the pronouncement of Kenyan government on 2021 school resumption as an example.

While stating this in an interview with Sunday punch, the Union president, Prof. Biodun Oguyemi said no responsible government will make such decision to resume school amidst the current pandemic unless parents would be told to sign an undertaking.
