The preaching of the gospel is the only means by which human beings will be delivered from the hold of sin, self and Satan.

It is important we know what the preaching of the gospel is all about.

It is all about Jesus Christ: His birth, death burial and resurrection.

Telling somebody this story destroys the power of Satan, sin and self in the lives of them who believe it.

The summary of the story (i.e Jesus' birth, death, burial and resurrection) is that Jesus is the Son of God.

After you end up telling somebody this story, ask him DO YOU BELIEVE THAT JESUS CHRIST IS THE SON OF GOD?

Jesus Christ did not say what you have in John 2 vs 16. John the apostle wrote that bit... the same John the apostle who then later wrote in His epistle to all believers that...

Yes, the same John that said you have to be believe to be saved, also tells you that you cannot be saved if you do not obey the teachings of Jesus Christ. So any preaching that does not teach people to obey the commandments and teachings of Jesus Christ is not preaching that Jesus Christ asked for. His teachings are his commandments and in order to be saved, one must obey His commandments. Jesus Christ said taught this and John the apostle whom you quoted earlier affirmed that indeed it is a requirement for one to indeed not perish.

And the minute I started obeying the teachings, I began to notice something different. Eventually, I realized that Jesus Christ did stipulate what one needed to do in order to be granted membership as His follower, and no sooner had I begun working on that that I realized that God's hand was definitely on my case. Before long, He showed up!

WHAT DO YOU MEAN SAVE?

When Jesus Christ sent His disciples out to preach the good news of the Kingdom, what do you think He sent them out to do? Preach the same things He had taught to them? Or Make up new stuff to lure people in?

Sinners have no eternal life. When we believe that Jesus died for us we are free (saved) from the wrath/God's anger that is to come upon unrepentant sinners

To be saved is that you are set free from sin and its consequences to come.

*. Romans 6: 14 KJV:For SIN SHALL NOT HAVE DOMINION OVER YOU: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.


It means you are justified (i.e you don't have condemnation again)

*. Acts 13:39 "KJV:And BY HIM ALL THAT BELIEVE ARE JUSTIFIED FROM ALL THINGS, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.


It means you can not die again; if you die, you will live again
