My concern is that the mail came from asconoil@gmail.com while their website reads asconoil.com.

Ascon oil is a good one-man organisation, I have worked with them in the past. Do not despair, it doesn't matter where the email was sent from

Sorry for being overly optimistic and raising your hope unnecessarily, like I said, I used to work for Ascon and I know their office is behind Mobil HQ. You never mentioned you were asked to pay some money otherwise I would have told you to run fast !

i was also sent a message from their abuja office, but was asked to meet with one Barr. Lurd iwoh at the federal high court. Pls let me know what to do as i am supposed to resume on the 11th of April.

Please I also got a mail notifying me of the offer of appointment in the Asconoil company. A part of the letter reads:

"Employees would have to provide a Scan copy of their Nigerian National I.D card along with the copy of your  Employment Insurance Certificate which you procure from the High Court through Hills Berry Law Chambers to the company on the interview/assessment date, Due to past experiences the company has had with International and local staffs,  the Company now makes it mandatory for every shortlisted candidates to summit an Employment Insurance Certificate from the Federal Law Court in Nigeria"

Somebody tell me, could this be real. They have said the office is located at Eket, Akwa Ibom State.

Pls I will like to confirm if ascon oil company is truely recruiting? I received an appointment letter today 14 june 2011 from the compnay via email stating that I should scan my national I'd card and to get an employment insurance certificate from hills berry chamber in akwa ibom, I would love to know how true this is and if the are scammers.

This whole thing sounds like a scam, guys.
Find Ascon's office and go there, to enquire.

i asked you to forget those guys i had a letter from them last year and thank God i went to their office in lagos and confirmed from the receptionist that some guys have been milking cash from job seekers in the name of Ascon.go to Ascon website is you want to know when they are recruiting and there is nothing like scanning your national id.this is big scam my brother.run as far as you can.

Hello, good morning. I sent an application to asconoilcompanyrecruitment2014@gmail.com based on their recruitment advert I saw. I later received an email from that address that I should contact one engr Adewale for recruitment form and interview details. And the guy said the recruitment form is sold for 10500. Yes this is a very wonderful scam buy the company should do something to their network security to stop such scammers from having their way.
