The Infinix Note 7 has been one of the favourite low budget gaming smartphones under $200 for the past few months and it’s all thanks to its Helio G70 gaming processor and other amazing specifications. But despite all this amazing specifications, some people are still disappointed with the Note 7 because of its lower HD+ Display with no gorilla glass protection, the lack of a USB Type C port, No True Samsung GM2 or Sony IMX586 48MP Camera sensor and finally no ultrawide angle camera lens. If you are in the category of this disappointed people, then I have good news for you guys because Infinix has finally listened again and will soon launch a New Note smartphone that may have all you want but you will have to pay a little more and can continue to save your money for it. I believe it should either be called the Note 7 Pro or maybe the Note 8 but what do you guys think

1080p resolution and above is a must (it's the pro version remember)

maybe LED or AMOLED display would make this device awesome

and last but not the least, it should not be sold above 110k (but i know Transsion would sell for almost 150k if these features were true)

If a computer is called a gaming system, does it mean its OEM design such computer only to play games? The word gaming can figuratively describe a device level of performance. The same is true with smartphones

Ehem... You know that a powerful processor isn't just used for gaming alone or did you skip that part?

Same way a gaming laptop with a decent graphics card can be used for some heavy lifting if you can't afford a pro-grade workstation or using it for office work cos it'll guarantee you get a smooth user experience (unless you botch the OS, bios or have a bugged software installed) when they could've gotten a Pentium or Celeron based laptop way cheap

Same thing applies to mobile devices.

Yes! Simply because gaming is the only way to really stretch a smartphones performance. On PC you could use Blender Renders or Adobe Premiere to test how good it is but the best way to get an idea of how good a smartphones hardware is 'games' are the surest bet for now.

If the iPhone 11 Pro can do PUBG at HD and 60fps, there is no performance intensive tasks it cannot handle. Whether video editing or what have you.

Since few people in Nigeria understand the importance of benchmark tools and what the results entail, games are still a good way to get a general view on the hardware's capabilities.

PS: it's also a good way to test the battery of the device as well.

True but then again, the game can be used to measure the capability of the processor here, and it is kinda an accepted passive way to measure a device capability with a particular SoC before one looks at the UI and other factors.

A popular example is PUBG - if it runs with ease on max/medium frame rate and medium/HDR graphics without phone being uncomfortable to hold just after 1 hotdrop or playing TDM, without stutters cos of the high temperature, it's acceptable for other tasks without further questions.

Depends on the device capabilities.

If it supports a digitizer (S pen, Wacom pen), you'll see more video editing review more than gaming.

If dex mode (desktop mode) is supported, you'll see reviews about it, with in-depth on video editing and if it could be useful when "docked" (video editing or if you dig deep, programming-based reviews too and running emulators from this mode on PC).

If it's a tablet and it supports the above and it got the 120hz refresh like the iPad 2018, you'll see separate reviews on each capabilities and their advantages in certain scenarios (it's better this way cos I'm not gonna watch a YT video of over 30min tops). If you into podcasts, you'll hear personal opinions, advantages and what not about these devices too.

I agree with you. Since that's the case, the customer needs should be their utmost interest... They can change the narrative if they launch a device that powers Helio G90T, FHD screen, and a better UI at an affordable price, more affordable than their competitors

those brands were already making decent phones before tecno and infinix released Camon 15 premier and S5pro so what you are saying is what i cant grab cos a brand that is serious would have launched those two devices with better chips. Dont you think ?
