Typical Nigerians, before they accepted the job, they were told it is temporary. It will last for 2yrs. They accepted, 4yrs down the line, government that brought them in, now said, okay, it is enough.
The beneficiaries then forgot the initial agreement and start abusing the government.
Honestly I am not understanding the hullabaloo, an agreement is an agreement, it was well stated from the onset. Except for the part of salary backlog which isn't a new thing in Nigeria, it will still be paid

It's obvious you dont know what is going on so shutupthere. Npower Batch B haven't completed the 2 years promised and they are still owing alot backlogs of their stipend. Secondly the batch As where promised an exit route that culminated into permanent employment and they failed three too. Lastly if they stated clearly that it was going to end like this I believe alot of people would have refuted the offer and voted Buhari out of office . They scammed the Nigerian youth and you are supporting them . Just shutupthere
Buhari didn't win because of their votes, he rigged himself in. They couldn't have still done anything to him if they were pre-informed about this.

Wow.

So these people were being paid free money from 2016 till February 2020?

What did they do with the money?

Didn't they save?

That N-POWER program was a stupid one.

You don't dash people money just like that.

Most of the ministers in Buhari's government are slow thinkers.

They find it difficult to think out of the box.

Especially that minister of finance and borrowing.

If rigging was his principal tool then he wouldn't have coerced them with the permanent employment narrative to be voted in a second time. Whether you admit it or not they contributed to the success of his election. No election relies 100 percent on rigging

That's how you'll continue to say what you don't know.

The Batch A have been in the programme for over 42 months. They've overstayed their time, that's correct, however, the Batch B should be disengaged at the end of July, which is today.

The Ministry came out to state categorically in May that Batch A will be disengaged at the end of June and Batch B at the end of July.

Today is the end of July, Batch A have not been paid their last stipend and Batch B have not been paid for June and July.

Sorry for whatever inconveniences yjou guys are passing through but I thought it has the duration of two years... Correct me if am wrong, but I think they could have saved most of their salaries, so that they can use it to start up something in future... But the face of this woman looks very mean or even wicked, she might be very stingy as well...

They are not requesting for extension just their 2 months stipends. Is that to much to ask?

Total injustice to withhold stipends/salaries as at when due. The government is acting insensitive, irresponsible and irrational especially at this difficult time of Covid 19 pandemic. Nigeria is a joke. I always tell folks who care to listen: stop waiting on the government, they are not expecting you. The desperation in the comments above sums it all up. Let the minister do the needful, please.

I think they deserve their stipend. I also think she doesn't deserve these death wishes and name tagging.
The program stated in clear terms 'volunteers'. You accepted the terms and conditions. I also learnt the ministry is working with CBN to work out payment of outstandings and other benefits. You can't turn around and name tag people for not honoring what has not been written in your contract of engagement.
If she is slothful in handling the agreed conditions, she can be called out sensibly but for the other unwritten agreement, it is not lawful to drag her down. All these death wishes will not werk because it holds no water.
If you feel aggrieved that she has not paid your outstanding, I will support you even if you protest her removal from office.

The Npower beneficiaries where told that the program is for two years but its four years now. I don't see justification for abusing the woman. The ministry has promised to pay their last two months stipends. Moreover they are supposed to be saving for the past four years now. Nigeria and her problems too much jare.

You don't put your mind on what someone Promised you. What if things don't turn out as expected, should it now turn to a debt

The Fed Min of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development used her official Facebook page to inform the public that the public that HM Sadiya Farouq was part of webinar themed HUMAN TRAFFICKING AND THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC: LEARNING CURVE, commemorating the World Day Against Human Trafficking

But Angry Npower Beneficiaries who have been excited without payment of June and July stipends used the opportunity to call her out.

to be fair npower is an entry and exit program just like nysc. they never promised employment. only problem they have is taking too long to implement a transition strategy for her beneficiaries. a clear case of delay is dangerous .

Holding 5months backlog and npower device for 350,000 beneficiaries ND not releasing June July stipend is not part of d federal govt agreement for people dt will start saying agreement! Agreement.
Wen d type of probe comes,we d beneficiaries will laugh at her..because her judgement day must come

If we agree for two years fine. But the way the stipend is being paid is not fair at all. Then they refused to stop batch A after two years having given them their devices if not all of them but most of them they were left to spend 3 and a half years. That's not the agreement. Since that agreement has been breached I expect the same thing to happen to batch B and they must be given their devices. And it does not make any sense to engage people for two years without paying their stipend on time and now disengage them. I don't really enjoy the programme the way it's being handled by the people in charge of it. Its my prayer that God Almighty will treat those coordinators and their generations the way they have treated we Nigerians. I know karma is very certain.
