Upwork is the world’s foremost global freelancing platform and you can make tons of money from the platform. Upwork has very strict rules and these rules are meted harshly on freelancers. If you break any of their rules, they reserve the right to ban you from their platform, and you may also lose your earnings. This is why it is relevant for you to know all their rules, especially the sacred ones that can get you kicked off the platform.
First, you cannot get kicked off Upwork platform if you do not have an Upwork account. We offer U.S approved Upwork accounts to anyone anywhere. With our U.S approved accounts, you can bid for jobs that are U.S specified and earn much more. Contact me here (whatsapp only, please): 09061502932
Back to business: here are 7 things you must not do on the Upwork platform:
1. Do not buy reviews: I cannot stress this enough: do not buy reviews. Upwork’s bots are smart and are configured to trace pattern of sales and purchases. If you must buy a review, make sure that the seller is far away from you; make sure he is operating a U.S. buyer account; make sure the money first goes to him, and then he can send it back to you; protect your IP address; and as with all rules, tread carefully.
2. Identity Fraud: Upwork takes identity fraud seriously. If you get kicked out because of ID fraud, you can never open another account again. But I must say here:
Upwork is by far the most racist freelance platform in the world; and while I will not support ID fraud, I cannot control your actions; however take note—if you must be a crook, do not get caught (PSD—Photoshop editable, U.S. Drivers Licenses for all U.S states ) DM: 09061502932 for more info.
3. Profanity: I remember a freelancer that advertised writing “erotic novels” in his profile. He was warned and then banned. Of course, clients are free to request for erotic writings and even graphics—but hell, they are clients, they pay the piper and should dictate the tune. But freelancers cannot, and they should refrain from using profane language on the platform. I just found out that “marijuana” is also a profane term on Upwork, even though the compound, especially CBD, has been declared legal in the United States.
4. Accepting or Soliciting Outside Communication and Payment: If a client asks you for outside receipt of payment, immediately, screen shot the chat and send to the community. Upwork has a platform for receiving video and audio calls; I do not see the need for an outside communication. Avoid these words in your proposal: call, phone, contact… For example, the sentence: “you can call me John” can be flagged for outside communication solicitation. Be careful.

To remain on the platform,
1. Read the Terms of Service (TOS) carefully. If you must break the rules, know what rules are worth breaking.
2. If you have an issue with a client, try settling it without filing a dispute. Upwork is stupid: even if you are right, you may first be punished before you are heard out.
3. Even if you try to bend other rules, never ever accept payments outside Upwork’s platform. It’s an unforgivable and unnecessary risk. If a client cannot pay you through Upwork’s platform, then the client is a fraudster. Run.

Thanks for the info but let me ask you, does having an accent not affect one even if one has a US phone number, address and driver's license? Because when clients call and one begins to use an accent, won't that be considered as identity theft?

This is not totally true. I'd prefer you say that the clients on Upwork are racist not Upwork itself. I stand to be corrected though.

Nevertheless I'd prefer failing as a Nigerian than winning with a fake identity because one day you'll surely be caught. Why would you build a business on lies?
