The reason why you want recolonization is because you think that the British and Chinese will come and build nice things for you.

That's not how colonization works.

Colonisers only develop the parts of their colonies that are beneficial to them. Everywhere else will see no benefit. And all the revenue goes to the colonial government, not to you plus spending would go to the whites working over you, not the mass of the population

My village did not get electric power under colonial rule, it got power under an independent Nigeria.Because as far as the colonial rulers were concerned, we were a backwater.

As for Army rule, we have tried it before. Just like the corrupted politicians with an added layer of oppression.

Join a party and support sane politicians. Be a monitoring spirit for your existing leaders. Democratic rule is hard work. Same for building a country.

Magu should be given the opportunity to defend himself. If found guilty, appropriate punishment should be melted out. But alas, something is fishy. This government is a big disappointment LORD with his kangaroo approach of solving every problem.

Under Army rule we had much of the same corruption, stealing and favouritism, to say nothing of tribalism.

And the economy was not necessarily in good shape.

Plus, the repression then makes Buhari's repression as a democratic leader look tame.

Buhari in 1984 would have just jailed you for 200 years. Buhari civilian can't do that.

Democratic rule is better than army rule.

In fact, Nzeogwu and company did Nigeria a big disservice by overthrowing the democratic government of that time.
Likewise Buhari in 1983. The truth is, if they were dissatisfied with the corruption in power, they would have done better to resign and run for office.

I very much disagree with that. I'm more even disappointed that they were unsuccessful with it.

When you read Nigerian History well enough, you'd appreciate Nzeogwu's idea. Not necessarily how he tried to pull it off, but aborting that democratically elected government which was a sham anyway.

There's a reason military came back again in 1983, because there's still no difference.

The only thing they cared about was enriching themselves, and not about governing
