Ooni said BBNaija should be scrapped. I agree, I no dey watch am.

Really, if BBNaija is to be scrapped, football too should be.
Same energy used to watch people do their exercises and get paid is same with seeing BBNaija contestants dress and UnCloth.

Think about it.

U cant equate foothball and bbn. Foothball rewards positive talents and skills and brings the best out of the participants, while the later just brings out the negative vices in the participants like kissing, fornication, beefing etc. What they aim to achieve is obvious.

People still have unlimited access to pornographic sites, not only bbn. Meanwhile, Football brings people together, same as bbn.

People (adults) have access to porn quite alright, but have u seen porn being broadcast in an national tv station that has minors as audience? That is exactly the aim of bbn. Sell porn to unsuspecting minors who most of there parents are unaware of the imbedded subtle porn. So u can see the real motive of bbn?

Anyone that derives pleasure from watching a group of people through strategically placed hidden cameras is nothing but a peeping Tom. It's a deviant behaviour, and BBN is not only encouraging it, but also rewarding it.

Football is nothing like BBN, so please don't compare the two.

foolish men are here displaying their stupidity and hypocrisy, they want BBN to be scrapped but have never advocated for porn sites or R rated foreign movies to be scrapped.imagine one idiot up there said BBN brings out negative behaviour like kissing, fornication, beefing grin let's act like these things have not been happening decades before BBN got into the country.

My friend and I argument on fb

After the question posed, he said...

Lol, there's no any form of congruity between BBN and football match has you've quoted. Do you know the effects of this BBN on our society and the generations to come?

Mind you whatever benefits you have to your disposal to attach to it, BBN contabescences the culture, values and moral of this country and the lives of the younger and the generations to come.

Replied

Hmmm,
The culture of the society

Values and morals of the country.

Lives of the generations to come.

What showed you same front is showing back to someone else, yet, that which shows its frontage view to the person and its back to you.

LOL, what culture? Our culture that has changed or that looming in the gutter.
When I was a kid, my folks believes watching a football match is a waste of one's time, they still do.

Whereas, BBNaija viewers believes it is just time spender, they can while away with it. So football in its genuinety brings no morale too, same BBN doesn't.
Football brings people together, BBN does.
Football makes people talk, BBN does
Bbn takes away your time, football does too.
They fight over football matches, BBN promotes sexual indecency.
To me there are more congruence. ABI?

He said...
Who is talking about wasting of time? The sexual indecency of its content is what am referring to as a stain on our societal reputation.

Mind you, the rates of atrocities, social vices and the rest are in the high side, which the nation, parents, and religious institutions are battling with.

We ought to be advocates of good moral and not licentious to our community.

Replied

Okay "we ought to be advocates of good moral and not licentious to our community" Yes, I agree

Two issues, football & BBNaija.

Why have we proscribed BBNaija as indecency littering our media spaces meanwhile, we still have unrestricted access to pornographic web pages. This content producers gave an age rating (18+) What kind of parents allow their wards(-18) watch BBNaija? So where are values we are preaching?

I'm sure you are not saying adults that can discern should have restrictions to what they watch?

To the issue, football to some people is to while away time and entertain, any moral value than bringing people together?
Whereas BBNaija
A programme designed to entertain and while time of its viewers away...
Why should it then be off the grid because a set people thinks it is bad for the society?
Is it safe to say this set of people (me too) proscribing BBNaija 'illicit' are talking from a selfish view?
If they are not, how do we remove BBNaija from the media spaces and still think football is better?

How do we juxtapose football reasons as been better than the reasons for BBNaija? They are both reality shows, you know?

We need to to first agree with the polity before trying to change it,

It’s true. They should scrap electricity, the government, petroleum and families. We should devolve to apes who know nothing but survival in its most primitive form.
