My alsatian is 10+ years old.
It started early last year. He had an ear infection with discharge coming out. He would occasionally howl in Which lasted months before my dad noticed and found a vet who assured us that it was due to old age. The vet came by everyday to give him a shot of antibiotics for 5 days or a week. The condition went for a while and we thought that was the end of it

Now it's back, and the condition is worse than before, we tried cleaning it to no avail, our dog is in pain. The discharge drips down his ears, matts his fur and attracts flies. He howls day and night. It's making him weak. We are afraid that our dog will go deaf, we call his name many times before he hears. Someone suggested we put him out of his misery. But no one wants to or has the courage to do so. He doesn't eat much anymore. Our former vet is no longer in lagos.
