On-site/On-page SEO:

On-Page SEO is also known as on-site SEO. It is the process of optimizing the components of a website in order to earn a better rank and relevant traffic drawn to the website. It refers to optimizing the HTML source code as well as the content of the site. The eventual target of on-site SEO is to understand and speak the language of the search engines and assist the crawlers of search engines to understand the content of your pages.

The On-page SEO practices are optimizing the title, keyword, content, URLs, internal links, meta description, HTML tags, and images.
People lay most of the focus on link building and you must have heard a lot about it. However, link building is of no use without optimization of the content on websites.

Importance of on-page SEO:

On page/on-site Seo is necessary to help a search engine to understand what’s on your website and its content, so that your site appears in front of the right traffic. The search engine is becoming more and more advanced, more focus is laid on relevance and semantics in SERPs.
• The search engine will first understand what the user actually wants.
• It will then crawl through all the websites containing relevant keywords and information.
• The pages containing the most suitable and relevant information are then gathered in the form of lists and then it appears in the front of the searcher.

Images, video, and text and audio are added to make it look more presentable. However, the only thing that the search engine can see is the well-structured data and HTML tags.

• Mobile Phone Friendliness: The pages render on every mobile phone properly.
• HTTPS use: The site should be secured with the certificate of SSL.
• User-friendly URL: Simple and easy to remember URL should be used.
• Well-targeted content: The pages should have specific search intent.
• Optimization of Keyword: Use the relevant and well-searched keyword in your content
• Optimization of Image: The size of the images should be small and alt text be added as the search engine can’t recognize the images.
• Click through rate: The optimized title and meta description should be used for the content.

Interlinking is very important for the indexing of the website and for it to appear on the top of the results page. A search engine ends up on your website will crawl from one page to another page through the internal links provided on the pages. This will make the crawling much easier and the ranking will be good. If you want your website to appear on the top, keywords, content, and internal linking should be strong.

Some things need to be done once or twice at the beginning, in the middle, or at the end. However, on-page SEO should be done every time when you publish a page/content. Strong keywords, proper meta description, relevant images, etc should be added.
