Last week, a food vendor in my area had more than 3000 bags of maize which he bought last year at the cost of N6k/bag each immediately after cultivation and he sold them last week at the cost of N22k/bag each.
Rich will keep getting richer while poor will keep getting poorer, that's the capitalism system they chose for us. We're so mentally inferior that we can't define system that will fit our culture but ending up adopting system that will kill our citizens future. Capitalism can't work in a continent were leaders don't pity their subjects. We can't practice US system in a country with few merciful people. If market favours you, you don't care how unfavourable it's to others.

They used Corona Virus as excuse to double the price of Garri, ordinary Garri. Took it to N800.

Let us see when they will bring the price of one custard bucket of Garri back to N300.

I'm sure, it will happen. We don't import casava.

Wow!
This is an eye opener. There really should be price control. I also believe that it will help reduce the rate at which inflation grows.
It's a common thing with our people that they look for every opportunity to increase prices of commodity. You can imagine a NUNU seller telling her customer that the volume of nunu has to reduce because dollar $ has increase. Lol. And the man replied that what is the business of a Fulani nunu seller with dollar? It was a funny scene.
grin
