WEIRD WISHES
Here am I sitting all alone again, doing what I do best – thinking crazy.
I saw myself walking by the riverbank on a cold evening. The bird chirps tell how hectic their journey for the day was. The mother was seen picking off food debris from her child’s beak, while telling her how happy she is happy to have her as her daughter. The way she was seen resting her stomach against the moist tree branch pictures how stressful it is to be alive at that moment of life.
What moment of life was I talking about? I likened her to most of our young girls that were forced into early motherhood. Maybe she had to, so she would ease the burden on her ailing and only parent, alive. Who knows the fate of… who knows if her father was killed by the hunter’s son trying to show his improvement or building skills. I mean his hunting prowess to his father or friends.
I created an imaginary scenario. I projected a bird mother in a heated word exchange with the father of her daughter and he flapped his thick feathered wings against this young mother, hitting her hard that she lost grip on the dead tree branch.
She fell down – flew back and picked up her now crying young child and flew off to a very far place across the sea. She flew without perching till she arrived at their new home. Though strange but she believes it will be the ideal environment her child needs to grow peacefully. She promised to be the best her daughter will ever meet.
As I passed the tree, I felt something. I felt a liquid ball, off a lonely mother’s eyes, and get trapped on my listening skin. I wish to make her happy – if only I can run back hand of time, pause the moment that the last blink sliced the tears. Maybe, “Don’t lose hope yet, everything is gonna be fine,” would have avoided the tears of a lonely mother.
