I top up another 250mb started same download again on opera mini this time, 151mb and it stopped. Wasted my time and airtime for nothing. Make I go sleep abeg

The best way out is to use mtn for calls and probably get an Airtel Sim for data

When u sub for nite plan...

Example- if u sub for 50 to 500mb... U can only use 450mb...

When u sub for 25-250mb... U can only use 190 or 200... Then the will stop u from browsing.. Your network will be slow.

I guess that was what happened last night. The download kept stopping at 100 and something.

Buy 1GB at #450 valid 4 one month

I would have recommended Glo but .....don't use them if you stay in an environment with a poor glo network

I won't advise any one to recharge with the intention of using mtn night plan, they never give the full amount promised.

I think the problem is with opera mini.
I downloaded one movie three times and it stopped half way, when close to finishing.
Just use chrome instead.
The 250MB can't even download a file of 210MB completely but this one na mtn's fault.

You can't use all while downloading, why.

1. Part of the 250mb will be cut for the uplink (small percent of the 250 mb)

2. Data used while surfing the webpages before download and running apps.


When you get a message "you have used XYZ of your 250 mb, your data will be suspended.

Fix it by
1. Turning off your data connection.

2. Switch to a different configuration setting.

3. Turn on airplane mode and turn it off.

4. Resume browsing.

This is quite true for me as well
Anytime I'm running low on data my network gets unbearably slow
I don't know why they are doing that though
