John 3:16 for God so loved the world that he gave his only son that whoever believes in him shall not be perish but have eternal life... I have read so many things here and some are encouraging to me and some are not so encouraging, as Christians we have read this verse very often yet the secret are hidden from the heart of many due to unbelief and self centered mindset... If our world is perfect, i dont think God would have sent Jesus Christ into the world to redeem it to himself but our world is full of chaos and wickedness, men take undue advantage of one another for selfish purposes and pleasure, the purpose of our very existence on earth was been compromised by man, the crown of Gods creation and the center of his love.. Man doesn't know that he was born in the heart of God, created by God straight from his own heart and pleasure, therefore ought to carry his glory and power.. Man was ignorant of this supreme reality and so went into sin and got corrupted by his own desires and vain pleasures... God even the lord God almighty who loves man unconditionally decided he was not going to allow Satan to continue to enslave man in bondage of his deception and wickedness and so he sent his son into the world to redeem man from the power of Satan. Jesus Christ came in the flesh to save mam from the power of sin and from the power of man's own selfish desires, these he achieved in three ways namely his teachings, miracles and death on the cross was the means he has given by God to restore us back to God.. The first preaching Jesus preached was in. Matt 4:17 He said repent from your sins for the kingdom of God is at hand, he preached repentence to sin and the need to love God with all our heart, mind and body and to love one another as we love ourselves Luke 10:27... . every sin we commit such as sexual immorality, theft, fraud, lying, murder, envy, jealousy, malice, hatred, bitterness and violence are all rooted in selfishness, yea, when we love ourselves above God , and above our fellow humans, we become sinful, hurting one another. but in Christ , we are elevated to love God and humans, above ourselves, Bringing us to share in Gods love and holiness... The highest level of spiritual life is rooted in selflessness. it's made manifest in love, patience, forgiveness, charity and quality service to God and humanity, this is the life we all are called to live irrespective of our race, religion and ethnicity, this is the life Christ lived, which he gave up for us on the cross. matt27:50 Jesus again gave a loud cry and gave up the ghost. Our lord Jesus bore our sins in his body and died for us so as to live in the hearts of all that received him, if we continue in Christ we shall attain to his full statues. and then we will always sit with him in heavenly consciousness, ruling over our own desires with his love in our hearts. Colossians 1:9-14 says and I quote, for this reason we have always prayed for you, ever since we heard about u. We ask God to fill you with all wisdom and knowledge of his will, with all wisdom and understanding that his spirit gives.. Then you will be able to live as the lord wants and always do what pleases him. Your lives will produce all kinds of good deeds and you will grow in your knowledge of God... May you be made strong with all the strength which comes from his glorious power, so that you may be able to endure everything with patience. And with joy give thanks to the father, who has made you fit to have your share of what God has reserved for his people in the kingdom of his light and holiness. He rescued us from the power of darkness and brought us safe into the kingdom of his dear son... Brethren we can't sit in Christ without doing Gods work, we can't be lazy in Christ, rather we grow to the very nature of Christ. We see the world as Christ sees it, we treat ourselves as Christ would Christ us, we love even our enemies because there is no room for hatred in Christ Jesus... We grow in patience, in love and godly service because we carry the name and nature of God... We are protected by God by his own holy powers, just as he can't be affected by evil, no evil can break us or harm us.. Wow this is the faith of our Christianity.. This is whom we are called to be in this life and forever.... God used white folks to bring to us Christianity, it doesn't mean it belongs to the white people.. Brethren love your enemies and pray for those who persecute us doesn't mean you desire it rather it means you entrust yourself to God who will give to everyone according to his deeds... Finally Colossians 2:6-8 since you have accepted Christ Jesus as lord live in union with him.. Keep your roots deep in him, build your lives on him. And become stronger in your faith as you were taught. And be filled with Thanksgiving. See that no one enslave you by means of worthless deceit of human wisdom, which comes from the teachings handed down by human beings and from the ruling spirits of the universe and not from Christ..we can't make heaven with selfishness in our hearts. Heaven is dedicated for selfless service and love forever. God bless his words in our hearts in Jesus name amen.
