Venteran nollywood actress Lola Alaohas revealed that she tested positive for COVID-19, but has fully recovered from it.

Alao who explained her ordeal in a post on her Instagram page on Sunday, said she lost her sense of smell and was sick to the bone before she made full recovery.

The actress, however, further sent a warning to people not to ignore the warnings against this deadly virus because it's real.

''I tested positive to COVID-19 but I am fine now. To God be the glory.

"I was sick to the bone and couldn't smell anything. I was so scared because I had kids to take care of. You don't ever want to imagine going into self-isolation and not seeing your loved ones. I don't know what you must have heard about COVID-19, but I tell you today that it is way deadlier than you can ever think of.


"At this critical time when people are beginning to ignore the warnings against this virus, you can make a difference with your family members by being very conscious of the fact that it is still very much around.



"There is a thin line between life and death. Please, be nice to everyone around you always. My name is Lola Alao. Stay very safe, my people."

Washington (CNN)Travel bans meant to stop the coronavirus from getting to the US from China and Europe came too late, according to a new analysis of cases from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The US restricted travel from China on February 2 and from Europe on March 13, but by March 8, Covid-19 was already circulating among the community in New York City and, by March 15, community transmission of the virus was already widespread, the analysis found.
What was circulating most closely matched the strain of the virus circulating in Europe, not China, which President Donald Trump has repeatedly blamed for not preventing its spread to the US.
By the time the Trump administration had placed travel restrictions on Europe, the importation of the virus and the community spread of the disease had already started in New York City, according to the report. Testing was limited at the start of the epidemic in New York City, which allowed people with undetected cases to spread the virus.
