Don't get too familiar with God. Be careful of God's wrath. Sin is a killer, do not give room for the devil to attack. If you break an edge the serpent will bite you. Don't be tempted because you're hungry. There's no excuse to sin. Always remember the son of who you are. You are the son of God, the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. You were purchased at a price. Do not take the name of the Lord in vain. God will not hold you guiltless Ex. 20:7. Christianity is not by force, it was your choice. Don't say you're a child of God and live like an unbeliever.
Repent from your iniquity. Ps.13.
Lay aside every weight Heb.12:1-2 says Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning it's shame, and say down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Don't let circumstances and conditions of life make you to forsake God. You're a soldier for God. PS 127. Except the Lord build the house, the labourer builds in vain.
How can servants ride on horses and Kings walk on bare foot. That is what sin can do.
If God can Forgive David/Saul, he can also forgive you. Deliverance is not only when they lay hands on you and you fall. It is also when you call on him earnestly. His hands are not too short to reach us.
What shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and looses his soul.
ACTION POINT.
1. Bow your head and confess your sins. You know the area that you're weak. Go ahead and tell it to him. Tell it to God he can hear you. He is willing to accept and take you back.
2. It's not enough to just confess your sins. You have to make a conscious effort with the help of the Holyspirit to help you forsake them for good.
3. Constantly devote time to study his word and pray at all times. I encourage fasting because it makes you die to flesh, so be generous with this. Also attend a Bible believing church.
This reminds me of a popular song in our local parlance. It goes like this:
One day na one day, sinner man go die, e nor go fitti come back (2*) to repent again.
Another song says:
My lifetime, I will give God my lifetime, if I give God my lifetime, he will take care of me, he will never ever let me fall, I will give God my lifetime.
