I dedicate like 5hours everyday to this thing. I really want to learn it. Any advice from you will be greatly appreciated.
Bros it's really doable. At least to get strong in the basics. What i did was I had a solid JavaScript udemy course. Men the course is so damn detailed. Check the complete JavaScript guide my Maxmillian schwarz. And I also had two books. You don't know js and eloquent JavaScript. Then I used a site to be building projects. Go online and search. JavaScript projects. There's a site that has over 100 JavaScript projects. It starts with simple projects like JavaScript counters to advanced e commerce projects. Once I had built everything there. I went straight into react.

Another way to learn if you dont want to do projects is to go on hackerrank and solve like 100 easy to medium questions using JavaScript. I remember when I used to solve those questions, I got to use so many JavaScript features I ordinarily would never use when building normal apps but I got stuck once I got to the medium section as those questions require you to really know algorithms to solve them. But it's doable bros no fear.[/
Brooo I’m in this exact situation right now. I’m currently using the max course. ‘JavaScript, the complete guide’. I'm currently undergoing a Software Engineering Training ( Full stack using the MERN STACK ) but due to some challenges which has to do with finance , Accommodation and some unforseen circumstances I've not been able to meet up with the training...but of recent all these has been settledanf sorted out. But I'm kind of lacking behind as regards the training...so to all the tech Guys on the Forum please based on your experience , can I learn JAVASCRIPT in 3 months enough for me to combine it with my HTML , CSS & BOOTSTRAP skill I've already learnt in the training..cos I have a goal of getting an Entry level/Junior level Software Engineering job early next year.

If JavaScript is your first programming language you can learn it in 3 months. But if you have knowledge on another object oriented programming language, you can learn it under a week.

Okay. I just got admitted into the scheme and I want to know if its really worth the price. How many times do you have classes per week. I read through some of their graduates' profile but seemed like they all had their career going on before going for the program. I only have html and css experience with very little knowledge of JS, is it good for me? Thanks and I anticipate your response

Did you eventually proceed with the course

It's a program to download torrent files. Download it and then open it and utorrent will download the file for you.

To get an entry level job, you need to know HTML, CSS, JavaScript, then React or Vue. You have a lot to learn, just be consistent. And most importantly build something you can show off while learning. Without working on projects, no body will believe you know anything.

Boss thanks for jumping on this thread!!! I appreciate. I've Studied HTML , CSS and BOOTSTRAP so I just wanna get a job at least early next year so I can take care of pressing needs. So with what you just said ,you mean I can't get an entry level position early next year after studying it from now till the end of this year?

With this, he will suffer in React. You need to be grounded in JavaScript. Even build projects with vanilla JavaScript before going into React
Daejoyoung:

Without knowledge of other programming languages, you can use one to three months, but with such a knowledge, you only need one week.

Hello, learning JS is a never ending but rewarding process. Forget what anybody says; it's impossible to learn JS in 3 months. Every programming language has its own learning curve and nuances and JS demands special attention. Your learning curve will take you through the various Ecmascript releases and each release comes with its own extra features. I may be wrong and you may just be far smarter than the rest of us average joe's. Goodluck

Sorry i came late to the party. Going into Software engineering requires dedication and perseverance. You do not need to dedicate 3 months for Javascript as a technology, rather i would advice you to dedicate 3 months in MERN Stack building various projects that can be added to your git and CV, ask questions on Stackoverflow and also provide answers to questions even if the question was asked over 5 years ago.

Suggestion:
IF YOU DON"T LIKE MERN STACK, WHY NOT TRY MEAN STACK.
Personally, I like MEAN STACK and i am currently working as a MEAN STACK engineer. I assume that most Nigeria engineers will vote for React against Angular, however, enterprise seems to favour Angular because it is a FRAMEWORK. My CTO once said that had he knew, he would have built all our products with MEAN Stack. Ofcus, many people may not agree to this submission, but i must tell you that we have a lot of MERN STACK developer compare to MEAN, hence MEAN STACKS DEV do not struggle to get hired.

Advise:
The first thing you need to understand is CRUD operation with MERN, Learn how to consume external API and reintegrate API with Node/Express, play with Mongoose DB. Create a React project with Firebase/Firestore as database, with these, you will learn how data can be updated in view without making an http request using snapshot listener, how not to make unnecessary http request. If you focus on these for 3 months, you will be more productive/employable as a Junior Engr compare to focusing on Javascript and html/css and boostrap.

Make sure you add all your dummy projects to your CV.
I hope this help.
