The Aregbesola education policy in Osun state is going into extinction as the current government made some reversals

- The Oyetola-led government has ordered all principals and headteachers of public schools in the state to revert to the old names of their various schools

- Governor Oyetola had earlier given an explanation on why the move became important

Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun state has jettisoned the education policy put in place by his immediate predecessor, Rauf Aregbesola.

Premium Times reports that the Oyetola-led government has ordered all principals and headteachers of public schools in the state to revert to the old names of their various schools.

Legit.ng gathers that the principals were directed to effect the new changes ahead of resumption from coronavirus lockdown.



The new move reportedly follows the approval of the reversal of the single school uniform, ‘reclassification’ of the public school system, and the abolition of single-sex schools which was introduced in 2013 by Aregbesola who is now the minister of interior.

The Osun state governor had earlier set up to review the education policies of the past administration.

He explained that the review of some policies became important following the clamour for change by educationists, school administrators, missionaries and school owners.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that the Osun state government announced Monday, September 21, for the reopening of schools in the state months after they were closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Funke Egbemode, the commissioner for information and civic orientation made the disclosure on Monday, August 31. I

Egbemode at the end of the state Executive Council meeting said all schools are set to resume in phases for an abridged third term for the 2019/2020 academic session.

In other news, Benedict Alabi, the deputy governor of Osun, on Wednesday, August 19, reacted to claims that the state is bankrupt.

Alabi who debunked claims in a statement by Olaniyi Ajibola, his chief press secretary, said those peddling the rumour lacked the knowledge of macro-economic theories and indices of Fiscal Sustainability Index.

The deputy governor while insisting that there was no logical parity between incurred debt and insolvency in the market economy, added that Osun was indebted as other states.

The nonsense STATE OF OSUN must also reverse back to OSUN STATE just like other states in Nigeria.

It was just a matter of time for those rètarded policies to be reversed but APC zombies thought enough propaganda soaked in garri would paper over common sense. One thing is for sure, that opon imo scam will be investigated one day soon cool
