This question has been bothering me for a while, so I had to bring it here. I'm a Christian, I believe in God and I worship him. But sometimes, I really do not like the church practices.

The going to church, singing, paying and all does not just sit right with my soul. It's like I'm being stressed to do something against my will.. My church is not even helping matters with the way they plant fears in some of us hearts...

I just want to sit down in my room, and privately talk to God in prayers whenever I feel like, and read my bible anytime without going to meet a pastor or going to church anymore..

Will I be making a big mistake with this decision I'm about to make?? Or I'm doing the right thing?

What you need to do my dear brother (as a Christian) is to sit with the word of God and learn who this God you serve actually is.As you do so daily, say a very brief prayer for divine wisdom and understanding and May the Holy Spirit continue to guide you to God's place of peace, rest and unshakable confidence in this temporary and troubled world, in Jesus' name, Amen

According to the Bible you can't be God's friend without associating with his people to worship him!

Learn from the story of Job, Satan has become a rebellious angel but whenever other loyal angels wants to worship God Satan will join them {Job 1:6} so do not be deceived isolating or distancing yourself from the gathering of other worshipers will be worst than what you're seeing now! What church practice. Is it scriptural practice ,doctrines or human relational conducts.? Demons don't like worship and flesh doesn't like prayer for example . The fact that you don't like a practice doesn't make it wrong. You may be the one who need help or knowledge .

The scriptures above should be enough for you . And if they are not ,its either yourr not yet born again or youre experiencing a demonic attack. There is a joy of salvation, if you have no pleasure in spiritual things . It's an attack or the individual is not yet saved
