Dividends are returns on share holders investments with a company at the end of a fiscal year when profit is declared ..

Before now share holders get their dividends in crossed cheque which are not easily cashed and some times not " economical "(cost of collection more than the dividend).

Most times these cheques don't get to the shareholders given the method of distribution through postal address,when these happens and the dividends are not cashed or received by share holders my questions are;

Can these funds be recovered?

For shareholders who don't seek to recover theirs' what happens to those money? Please any body with the knowledge should help out.
