Jide: a short story
A 26 year old graduated at 21 and doesn’t plan to do anything with his computer science degree that actually belongs to his parents. In reality jides interest lies in art consultancy. Jide stays with his parents and younger siblings and has none of his friends or coworkers living in his neighborhood. Jide is constantly restricted from doing the things he truly loves to do, like going out for art exhibitions and partying with his peers, and more so, due to the number of chores he’s constantly taking care of in his house, he rarely has any time to do the things that are truly important to him.
Jide is a part time fitness trainer with barely any fitness trainees, and so he earns a menial monthly income, With this pay grade, jide can not afford a habitable apartment.
Jide needs mushrooms, a platform where he can find a banana island apartment on an Ikorodu budget, and jide does not mind a housemate, as long as he can conveniently bring bolanle and sidi for their regular game of hide and seek and ultimately can finally do the things he loves.
